A general meeting / interactive session of all the teachers of AEC Schools from 1 – 6 and JC,
with the AEES authorities, Chairman & Secretary, AEES, Chairman, LMC AEC Schools & JC, Mumbai, was convened in the
MPH of AEJC from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon on 24/3/15. The agenda points were CCE, dealing with children with Learning
Disabilities, home work etc.
Shivaji Jayanti was celebrated in the campus on 19th February, 2015. Speeches and songs were presented
by the students in commemoration of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the great warrior of 17th century, fondly
remembered for his courage and military acumen. Honourable Principal sir and Vice Principal sir also pronounced
their benediction by expressing the achievements of the great ruler.
Twenty lecturers from KG Somaiya college, Ghatkopar came to visit laboratories, especially, Electrical Maintenance Lab.
On 17.3.2015. They visited all the laboratories and confirmed the attributes and traits of well-maintained laboratories
of AEJC in visitors’ book.
Marathi diwas was celebrated in the campus on 27.2.15. Shri S.Z. Ganar (PGT, Marathi) delivered a speech on the
importance of the day. Principal Shri Goud also supported the cause and greeted all in Marathi language.
AEJC family bade farewell to Std. XII students of 2014-15 batch on the 5th of February, 2015. Songs, dances,
speeches and best wishes took the glittery day to the colourful pageantry of students, teachers and management.
An All-India Essay Writing Event (2014-15) was organised by Shri Ram Chandra Mission (SRCM) in collaboration
with the United Nation Information Centre for India and Bhutan, the sahajmarg system of mediation, on the
12th of August, 2014 to celebrate the International Day of Youth, Miss Siddhi Tripathy [XIG] was ranked first in the
Zonal level competition and received Gold Medal in the event. Four students – Miss Manali Vilas Parab [XIF],
Miss Manali Ghanshyam Barge [XIF], Miss Aishwarya Sushil Chavan [XIK] and Miss Kirti Bhanudas Randhawan [XIID]
got participation certificates.
CCA events were organized on the last day of every month and the participants showed their mettle in the competitions.
Drawing, solo singing, pick and speak were organized on 31/7/14, pick and act, collage and solo dancing on 30/8/14,
Essay writing (English, Hindi and Marathi), Mehendi and G.K. test on 30/9/2014, Quiz, Instrumental performances
(stringed, piano and percussion), Rangoli and Vegetable carving on 31/1/15.
Smt. Jayalakshmi, an alumnus of AEJC, 1980 batch, from Vasantha Memorial Trust – a trust for cancer care and cure at
Vikhroli, addressed the students on 8/6/14 to spread awareness on prevention before the onset of the disease.
Dr. Ramanathan (oncologist) runs the trust and is also alumnus of AEJC 1979 batch.
229 students of Std. XI went for an excursion to Adlabs Imagica Theme park, Khopoli, with 10 escort teachers on 12th of December, 2014.
Vigilance Awareness week was observed in the campus from the 27th of October,
2014 to the 1st of November, 2014. Awareness on the importance of the effort was conveyed to students
in the morning assembly. The speech was given by Shri Sudhir Khullar. The members of the staff took an
oath on Observance of Vigilance Awareness.
Children’s day 2014 was celebrated in the assembly area. The programme included speeches, songs and dances. The show presented two cultural/choreographed theme based dances which were performed in Inter AEES dance competition held at AECS Kaiga on the 5th of November, 2014. The choreographed dance category bagged third prize in the Inter-AEES seniors’ category.
Principal sir bestowed the honour of certificate and memento to Pratiksha Prasad of XI E
for having scored consolation prize in Inter AEES Group G Art Competition.
All India Inter AECS Science Mathematics and teaching aids exhibition at the National level was held
at Atomic Energy Central School Indore on the 27th and 28th of August, 2014. In this exhibition participants
from 30 different AECSchools and Junior Colleges presented their projects. There were 4 exhibits presented
by Atomic Energy Junior College - 2 projects in the Senior Science category in 1 in Senior Mathematics
and 1 in Teaching Aids category. and Three students from college – Leander M. XIIA, Shruti George,
XIIA and Neha Bareen, XIID participated in Inter- AECS Science, Mathematics & Teaching Aids
(for teachers) in Science Exhibition.
AEJC bagged the second prize in Senior Science category of exhibition. Master Leander S Mascarenhas
of XIIA represented that project ‘Universally Applicable Switch with a Phone Call on a self made circuit’.
The two other projects – 1)An Innovative Recycling Process of Sewage Water’ – a miniature model of
sewage water treatment plant to make 99.99% pathogen free water, was represented by Miss Neha Bareen of XIID 2)
‘Application of Trigonometry-Demonstration of the angle measuring devices’ as emerging aid in
biotechnology and health improvement by Miss Shruti George of XIIA, got participation appreciation.
Students also attended a trip to Raja Ramanna Center for Advanced Technology [RR CAT] the BARC
plant in Indore with operating facility of new diodenium lazer for cutting and welding in various
commercial fields and 10 Mev Electron Beam accelerator to provide irradiation of food products for
long life and late ripening. In teaching aid project of Shri P. Padmanabhan, ‘Presentation of
digitalized methoed of teaching for an effective learning.
On 08/08/14 Principal Shri Gaud presented trophy and certificate to the team which won second position in
Inter-AECS Science exhibition held at Indore. The team of ‘Universally applicable switch’ had members Leander
S Mascarenhas of XIIA, Ankit Dinkar of XIIA, Santanu XIIB and Prabhav Jayprakash of XIIB. Principal sir also d
istributed participation certificates to other teams viz. Neha Bareen of XIID, Shruti George, Swati Chaube a
nd Ajay Randive of XIIA, and to Shri P. Padmanabhan for his teaching aid project.
4 students, Abhishek Koli (XIF), Abhishek Sardive (XID), Chinmay Gholap (XI D)
and Nihar Patil (XIC) participated in DSO which organized District Level Swimming Competition on 25th
and 26th of August, 2014. Abhishek Koli bagged two golds,(100m and 4x100m free style), 1 silver
(50m free style) and 1 bronze (50m back stroke). Abhishek Sardive, Chinmay and Nihar Patil bagged
gold each in 4X100m free style.
138 students of Std. XII went for trekking to Khandala on 16/08/14.

Shri Anil Jadhav and Shri Nitin Kawade.
The 68th Independence Day was celebrated with great pomp, show and patriotic fervour. The programme started at 7:45 a.m. with unfurling of the tricolour, exchange of greetings, speeches by two students – Akshay Patil [XIB] and Shreyas Menon [ XIB], address by Shri G. Ramchander Goud and continued to generate awe with melodious song composition, with patriotic content & instinct in the expression, beat, the pulse and the tempo by the College choir group till 9:00 a.m. Students cheerfully dispersed after receiving biscuit packets.

The toppers of AEJC in MS Board Examination 2013-14 were bestowed with letters of appreciation from
AEJC family and from Shri Rajendar Darda, Minister of School Education, Maharashtra State on 25/7/2014
in the morning assembly.

All India AEES Art Competition will be held on 30/09/11. Students of AEC Schools, 1 to 6 & JC, Mumbai from Group D to
Group G (students from Std. V to Std. XII) will assemble at the venue AEJC, Mumbai to participate in AEES Art competition.
The AEES one-of-a-kind Sports Complex, Anushaktinagar, which features state-of-the-art facilities like 400 meter Athletic track, Swimming Pool,
Badminton Court, T.T. room, Yoga Hall etc, will be inaugurated by Shree S.K. Banerjee (Chairman, DAE) on the 30th of October, 2011. Shri Madan Rao,
Principal, AEJC, Mumbai is the Coordinating Principal of the function.
National Sports Meet among all AEC Schools which has been organized by AEES from 30/10/2011 to 01/11/2011, will be held at Sports Complex, Anushaktinagar.

Shri A.K. Singh (PGT SS Hindi) joined AEJC on 08/08/2011. He was transferred from AECS-1 Hyderabad.
Shri Umesh Chand Thakur (PGT Hindi), Shri Shiv Kumar Sharma (PGT Hindi) and Shri Bhim Rao (PGT Mathematics) were
promoted to the post of Vice Principal in the month of July 2011.
The first surveillance audit was done by a pair of auditors from SUV TUD agency for South Asia on 3-8-2011
for the second year in succession. Top management, admission process, infrastructure and time table were the main points which
were appraised and appreciated by ISO certification agency. ISO 9001:2008 certification has been extended for one more year.
Shri Sudhir Khullar (PGT English) won the second prize in the Essay Competition which was held for the teachers of
Junior Colleges in Mumbai. It was conducted by Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, Mumbai on the 2nd of October, 2010 and the topic
of the competition was ‘Sword cannot vanquish the truth’.
Science Exhibition at College Level was held on the 28th of April 2011. Four projects out of which two of Science,
one of Mathematics and one of Teaching Aid, viz. Generating electricity from sugarcane and composition of cold drinks,
development of surfaces (Mathematics) and activity based learning Physics (Teaching Aid) were selected for All India
AEES Science, Social Science, Mathematics and Teaching Aid exhibition, held at AECS4 Rawatbhata on 16/07/2011 and 17/07/2011. Science Project – Generating electricity from sugarcane by students Sundresh J.Sankrith (XIIC), Omkar Mokashi (XIIB), Shaun Almeida (XIIA) and Akshay Sandal (XIIC) got first prize and the same project has been selected to represent National Level Jawaharlal Nehru Science Exhibition to be held at NewDelhi and the Teaching Aid – Activity based learning in Physics by Shri Jebin Joel (PGT Physics, AEJC, Mumbai) got the second prize. Students were escorted by Shri Jebin Joel.
An exciting Cricket match was organized on the 28th of February,2011 for the staff of AEJC in which teachers,
Vice Principal, Lab. Assistants and Group D staff were organized in two teams viz. Jai Shivaji (Captain Shri K.J. Joy)
and Jai Sambhaji (Captain Shri U. Suryavanshi). Jai Sambhaji team was declared the winner.
On the occasion of the ‘World Hindi Day’ - ‘Vishva Hindi Divas’ Raj Bhasha Kayanvayan Samiti of AEES had organized
an essay competition on life and work of Munshi Premchand on the 10th of January, 2011 at AECS 3. Dr. Shiv Kumar
Sharma (PGT Hindi) secured the first position in Hindi speaking category and Smt. Manju Budhwar (PGT English)
secured the second position in non-Hindi speaking category of the essay competition.
Final results for Std. XI exams, for the session 2010-11, were declared on the 30th of March 2011. 98% students passed
with an overall Quality Index of 6.3 and Excellence Index of 57.5
All India AEES Music competition was held from the 2nd to the 4th of August, 2011 at AECS-2 Kalpakkam. Out of the 30 AEC
Schools/Jr. colleges which participated, AEJC Mumbai got first prize in Classical Solo and Solo light, Second in solo
strings and Group song category. Students were Shreya Chakraborty (XIIC), Ivana Joy (XII H), Anjali Nair (XII-A), Nikita
Unnikrishnan (XII-C), Pranita Aradhye (XII-K), Sundresh J Sankrith (XII-C), Akash Das (XIIB), Akshay Rupawate (XII-D),
Ashwin Shaji (XII-C) and Karan Sonawane (XIIB). They were trained and escorted by Shri Selson Samuel (PGT English, AEJC
Oracle’s widely acclaimed education technology project training programme, Think Quest, an on-line platform and an effective teaching tool, was organized by the Academic Unit, AEES for AEC Schools 1-6 and Junior College at AEJC, Mumbai on the 26th and the 27th of August, 2011. From AEJC, Shri Sudhir Khullar (PGT English), Shri A. Jebin Joel (PGT Physics) and Shri Sushanta Mukherjee (PGT IT) participated in this course.
